Our spies are back with new images of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and this time we get to check out the warm GLC 450 Coupe version.
Mercedes-Benz hasn’t even introduced the regular GLC Coupe yet and it seems they are already testing a more powerful derivative which will look slightly more aggressive judging by the enlarged air vents, trunk lid spoiler and the different quad exhaust arrangement. The crossover coupe was spotted testing somewhere in southern Europe riding on enlarged AMG wheels backed by an upgraded braking system to match the extra power.
Speaking of which, the Mercedes-Benz GLC 450 Coupe will receive a twin-turbo V6 3.0-liter from the C 450 where it produces 367 PS (270 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) of torque available from 2,000 rpm channeled to a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed automatic transmission.
This will sit on top of the range but only for a limited amount of time as unlike the previous GLK, the new GLC & GLC Coupe will both spawn a fully-fledged AMG version with a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter sourced from the C63 where it is rated at 476 PS (350 kW) in the standard model and at 510 PS (375 kW) in the flagship C63 S.
The GLC Coupe is expected to show up early next year together with this hotter version whereas the range-topping GLC 63 Coupe should debut in the second half of 2016, possibly at the Paris Motor Show in October.
