Volkswagen is freshening up its smallest car by introducing a new colour up! equipment line.

Amid an expanding scandal, VW has found the time to come out with the colour up! which is based on the range-topping high up! and comes with standard fog lights and a choice of five exterior colour combos. These contain “fontana red” or “sandstorm yellow” accents applied to the side mirror caps, 17-inch “polygon” wheels as well as on the narrow decorative stripe on the sides which contains the “colour” lettering while the tinted side and rear windows round off the exterior modifications.

As far as the interior is concerned, not much has changed, but Volkswagen says they have added a dashboard styling panel (aka “dashpad”), colorful air vent rings and a few chrome accents here and there to spice up the cabin. It comes as standard with a tire pressure indicator and an air conditioning system to keep you nice and cool.

Volkswagen is already taking orders for the colour up! which in Germany kicks off at €13,375.

On a somewhat related note, VW is now offering the Polo Highline with a contrasting Pepper Grey or Deep Black Pearl Effect roof color as part of the €590 Colour Pack that also includes 17-inch Mirabeau wheels painted in the same hue as the roof.
