BMW has prepared a new batch of M Performance accessories for the M4 Coupe currently on display at SEMA.
Joining the M2 Coupe M Performance in Las Vegas, the M4 is now compatible with a new array of bits and pieces from the M Performance catalog to join the numerous accessories that have been available since last year. Up front it has gained new CFRP inserts and a glossy black trim for the grille while the PUR side sill attachments and the carbon fiber side mirror caps make the car’s profile appear more aggressive. Also visible are the M Performance motor racing stripes and the M gill elements finished in glossy black to denote this isn’t your ordinary M4.
Moving at the back, the high-performance coupe has a carbon fiber diffuser with three motorsport-derived fins and there’s also a new carbon fiber rear wing (although BMW says it’s actually a spoiler). Regardless of its labeling, it comes with “M Performance” lettering on the lateral end plates and it also has motorsports stripes. There’s also a new exhaust system featuring a stainless steel duct and a titanium rear silencer which makes it lighter than the standard exhaust while at the same time providing a more powerful grunt along with a choice of two settings to alter the sound.
Photos of the interior cabin have not been provided, but BMW says this M4 has an M Performance steering wheel wrapped in anthracite Alcantara and with clear-finish carbon fiber. As expected, it’s adorned with the “M Performance” inscription and has a blue center-position marking at the 12 o’clock position in the same vein as a racecar.
The M Performance catalog also encompasses a new gear selector for the M twin-clutch transmission while the door handles and the handbrake have received the carbon fiber treatment. Rounding off the list of tweaks are the stainless steel pedal covers, LED door projectors and an Alcantara-covered handbrake.
BMW says the full (extended) arsenal of M Performance goodies for the M4 Coupe will be available starting June 2016.
