Rumors about a long-wheelbase Jaguar XF have been floating around for a couple of years but our spies have finally caught the model undergoing testing on the Nürburgring.

Looking virtually identical to the standard model, the long-wheelbase variant is distinguished by longer rear doors and a more accommodating rear passenger compartment. There's still no word on how much the wheelbase has been stretched but it seems to be at least a couple of inches.

There's no word on how many engine combinations Jaguar will offer but the standard XF can be equipped with a variety of different engines including:

  • A 2.0-liter diesel with outputs of 163 PS (120 kW) and 180 PS (132 kW)
  • A 2.0-liter petrol with 240 PS (176 kW)
  • A 3.0-liter diesel with 300 PS (220 kW)
  • A 3.0-liter petrol with outputs of 340 PS (250 kW) and 380 PS (279 kW)

The Jaguar XF L will be aimed at Chinese consumers so we wouldn't be surprised if it is unveiled at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show.  Previous reports have suggested the model could eventually be offered in other markets but nothing is official as of yet.
