Porsche has unveiled the 2017 Macan GTS.
Loosely based on the Macan S, the GTS features a modestly revised exterior with high gloss / matte black accents and 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels with a Satin Black finish.
Bigger changes occur in the cabin as the vehicle features leather/Alcantara sport seats, leather accents and a standard Porsche Communication Management system. The crossover also has an eight-speaker audio system with USB and AUX connectivity.
Power is provided by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that has been tuned to produce 360 bhp and 369 lb-ft of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive which enables the GTS to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 159 mph (when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package).
Besides the upgraded engine, the Macan GTS has a recalibrated Stability Management system that promises to provide an " even more dynamic driving experience." The crossover also boasts a high-performance braking system with red brake calipers and rotors that measure 360mm front / 330mm rear.
Furthermore, the model is equipped with an air suspension and the Porsche Active Suspension Management system which enables drivers to adjust the ride height and damper stiffness. The system has also been tuned to have a ride height that is 10-15mm lower than the Macan Turbo.
The 2017 Porsche Macan GTS will go on sale in the United States in March and pricing starts at $67,200 (excluding destination charges). In Germany, the model is already available to order and pricing starts at €73,400.
