The first models to leave the Lansing Grand River Assembly plant will be coupes equipped with the 335 bhp 3.6-liter V6 engine and the 6.2-liter V8 that develops 455 bhp and 455 lb-ft of torque.

Early next year, the plant will begin producing the Camaro Convertible and models with the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which is rated at 275 bhp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

The first customer deliveries are slated for mid-November and buyers can look forward to a substantially improved Camaro that weighs up to 390 lbs (176 kg) less than its predecessor.
