Kia Motors America COO Michael Sprague has revealed the company will introduce 22 "all-new or significantly redesigned" models over the course of five years.

The first new model will be the Sportage which will celebrate its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month.  It will eventually be followed by a new Optima hybrid and Optima plug-in hybrid.

Sprague declined to go much further but our spies have already snapped photos of the redesigned Cadenza and the facelifted Forte.  The company is also believed to be working on their own version of Hyundai's dedicated hybrid.

Unfortunately, there's no word on the fate of the GT sports car as Kia Motors America's Vice President of Product Planning, Orth Hedrick, told Wards Auto “We’re still under study. We don’t have any announcements to make."
