Lamborghini's Washington dealership currently has on display a brand new Huracan Spyder.
The open-top Huracan received its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month and it’s starting to arrive at dealerships all over the world. The Washington showroom is one of the first to get the latest bull from Sant’Agata Bolognese priced at a hefty €186,450 (plus taxes). The design of the body closely echoes the coupe, but now the car has a new electro-hydraulic soft top that needs 17 seconds to open or close at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph).
There are some subtle changes compared to the coupe, such as the built-in air duct for reducing turbulence in the head area while the lateral aerodynamic pulsations are damped by the two removable lateral wind guards. In addition, Lamborghini’s engineers have equipped the 610 PS V10 Huracan Spyder with two fins to optimize the airflow through the engine compartment which is covered by a slatted hood tailored to this model.
Tipping the scales at 1,542 kg (3,400 lbs), the Huracan Spyder seen here wears the Blu Cepheus paint scheme and rides on a set of twin five-spoke wheels coupled to black brake calipers. A matte black finish was applied to the front splitter and rear diffuser while the interior cabin matches the body’s theme with a similar blue treatment.
