Audi recently introduced the 2016 A4 so it comes as little surprise the company is putting the finishing touches on the A4 Avant Allroad.

Spied near the Nürburgring, the heavily camouflaged prototype doesn't reveal much but the production model will likely feature traditional Allroad styling cues including modified bumpers, plastic body cladding and matte aluminum trim.  The wagon should also have a revised suspension that increases the car's ground clearance.

Engine options should carryover from the standard model so expect a variety of familiar petrol and diesel units including a 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder that has outputs of 190 PS (140 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque as well as 252 PS (185 kW) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque.
