Mercedes-Benz's all-new E-Class (W213) has been partially revealed courtesy of these two images showing the mid-size sedan's body.

Our friends at mbpassionblog were kind enough to allow us share their images depicting next year's E-Class which will receive its world premiere in January at NAIAS in Detroit and in the same month the order books will open before reaching dealerships in the spring. We've seen the new E in plenty of spy images and video before and these two new pics showing the body are another confirmation the car will look a lot like its brothers.

While the interior cabin is set to have more in common with the S-Class, the underpinnings will actually be taken from the C-Class as the new E will utilize the same MRA platform which should enable a 100 kg (220 lbs) weight loss. A long wheelbase version is definitely in the works as seen in recent spy shots, but we don't know for sure at this point whether it's simply going to be a LWB model or a more luxurious Mercedes-Maybach E-Class.

Since we're on the subject of additional body styles, the wagon will be out mid-2016 and will be followed later by the coupe and cabriolet. We've saved the best for last as mbpassionblog says Mercedes-Benz has plans to introduce an allroad-like version sometime in 2017. This new member of the E-Class family is codenamed X213 and will likely be a wagon just like the Audi A6 allroad quattro.
