Like the standard model, power is provided by a 2.8-liter Duramax diesel engine which produces 197 bhp (147 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel drive system.
The Colorado LS-X will go on sale later this month and production will be limited to 750 units. The model will be priced $1,000 higher than the Colorado LS 4x4 Crew Cab.
