Dieselgate is headed to a movie theater near you as Paramount Pictures and actor Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way Productions have reportedly acquired the movie rights to an upcoming book based on the scandal.

According to Reuters, the book will be written by New York Times journalist Jack Ewing and will explore how Volkswagen "more, better, faster" philosophy lead to the emissions cheating scandal.

Considering we don't even know who was to blame for dieselgate, the book is presumably a ways off.  That likely means we shouldn't expect to see the movie anytime soon.
