Subaru Australia has released new details about the WRX STI NR4.

Jointly developed with motorsport partner Possum Bourne Motorsport (PBMS), the WRX STI NR4 is FIA-homologated and eligible to complete in FIA WRC2 and ERC2 regional / progressive national championships.

The model will be available exclusively in White or WR Blue and power will be provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.

Subaru declined to release performance specifications but they confirmed the model will feature an OMP three-spoke steering wheel and OMP sport seats with six-point harnesses.  The car also has a stripped out interior with gunmetal grey paint and alloy pedals. The airbags and sound deadening material have also been removed to reduce weight.

Pricing starts at $38,000 AUD and Subaru announced the model can be equipped with six option packs.  The company was light on details by said the packages cover the engine, brakes, driveline and suspension as well as setups for gravel and tarmac.
