Cadillac has announced their new 3.6-liter V6 engine will be offered in the 2016 ATS and CTS.

Unveiled earlier this year, the engine features a start/stop system and cylinder deactivation technology.  It enables the 335 bhp (250 kW) engine to be approximately nine percent more fuel efficient than its predecessor.

The ATS and CTS will also be offered with an upgraded turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that now has start/stop technology.  Both models can also be equipped with a new eight-speed automatic transmission that promises to be more responsive and fuel-efficient.
