New images depicting the production Lada XRAY have surfaced online.

The photos were taken at the assembly line and show the model is virtually ready for production, which is scheduled to kick off in mid-December. The car was previewed by two concepts in 2013 and 2014 with the only notable design changes over the studies being the reshaped taillights, smaller wheels and headlights with new internal graphics.

The interior on the other hand appears to be unfinished as it features some kind of glossy surfaces. We see some familiar details from the Dacia Sandero, which serves as a base for the new Russian model. Higher-end versions will be offered with 7-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, steering wheel mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, electric mirrors, etc.

While we still don’t have a confirmation, the XRAY will be offered with three petrol engines. The 1.6-liter will come in two power stages – 106 PS (78 kW) and 114 PS (84 kW), while the bigger 1.8 mill will produce 122 PS (90 kW). Power will be sent to the front wheels through 5-speed manual (1.6 versions) or a an automatic transmission (1.8 version).
