Chevrolet Performance has unveiled their new ZZ6 crate engine.

Billed as a "modern twist on the classic Chevy Small Block 350," the crate engine features new 'Fast Burn' cylinder heads with beehive-style valve springs that are inspired by the company's LS engines.  Chevrolet says this change in enhances high-rpm capability, which in turn, enables the engine to produce 405 bhp (302 kW) and 405 lb-ft (548 Nm) of torque.

Besides the Fast Burn cylinder heads, the engine has a forged steel crankshaft, high-silicon aluminum pistons and an "aggressive hydraulic roller camshaft with .474/.510-inch lift and 208/221-degrees duration."

The engine will be offered in both base and turn-key configurations and additional information will be announced at SEMA.
