Opel has announced plans to introduce their new Opel Astra TCR race car at the Circuit Jules Tacheny in Belgian on October 15th.

Jointly developed by Opel Motorsport and Kissling, the Opel Astra TCR will feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces approximately 330 PS  (242 kW).  The sketches also suggest the car will have a front splitter, a ventilated hood and a wide body kit.  We can also see a unique rear end, a dual exhaust system and a massive rear wing.

The car was designed to compete in the Touring Car Racing Series (TCR) which consists of national and continental championships as well as the TCR International Series.
