Mazda has become the latest automaker to deny cheating on emissions tests.

In a statement, the company said they work hard to ensure that "every gasoline and diesel engine it makes fully complies with the regulations of the countries in which they are sold." Mazda went on say they have never used defeat devices or any illegal software designed to falsify emissions data.

The Japanese automaker also said they support new homologation testing methods based on real driving conditions and they remain "committed to improving fuel efficiency and reducing CO2, as well as making exhaust emissions as clean as possible."
