According to a recent report, Mazda could introduce a rotary-powered concept at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Nothing is official but when Autovisie asked Mazda's sales and marketing boss about the fate of the Wankel engine, Masahiro Moro responded by saying "stay tuned" and then asked the publication if they're going to the Tokyo Motor Show.

While that seems like a pretty strong hint, speculation suggests the concept could be an eco-friendly range-extended concept instead of an RX-8 successor.
