The all-new Renault Megane has been snapped in the wild for the first time.

Following its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the fourth generation Megane is back again in a new photo, taken somewhere in France. The vehicle is showing its sleek LED taillights with 3D graphics and the fully restyled rear end through the attached single picture.

Expected to hit the European market in early 2016, the 2016 Megane is wider and lower than its predecessor featuring an improved legroom for the rear passengers. The French model has several class-firsts, including a full color head-up display and a portrait-format 8.7-inch R-Link 2 touchscreen.

At first the car will be offered with six engines – three petrol and three diesel with power ranging from 90 PS (66 kW) to 205 PS (151 kW). The EDC dual-clutch automatic transmission will be available with the dCi 110 (six-speed) and the TCe 130 and TCe 205 (seven-speed) units.
