Audi has announced a couple of new features for their connected cars.

First up, new A4 and Q7 owners can download an upgraded Audi MMI Connect smartphone app that includes a new myCarManager.  It will enable owners to use their smartphone or Apple Watch to remotely lock/unlock the vehicle's doors, operate the optional auxiliary heating system and view a variety of vehicle related data including how much fuel is left in the tank and the status of the windows and doors. Users can also see the car's remaining range and see where their car is parked.

There's also a new myService section which provides easy access to emergency services and online roadside assistance.  There's also an Audi Service Request function that sends vehicle data to your Audi dealer two weeks before servicing is due so the dealer can contact the owner to schedule an appointment.
