Maserati CEO Harald Wester has announced the Levante crossover will be unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

Speaking to Autocar at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Wester said the company will begin pre-production of the crossover shortly and noted consumer models are slated to begin rolling off the assembly line by February 2016.

The executive also confirmed plans for a plug-in hybrid variant. He was coy on specifics but confirmed the eco-friendly powertrain will also be offered in the Ghibli and Quattroporte by early 2018.

Wester went on to reveal the company is working on replacements for the Granturismo and Grancabrio.  The models will be unveiled around the same time as the Alfieri and Maserati has already confirmed they will feature rear-wheel drive and a V8 engine that produces more than 560 PS (412 kW).
