To celebrate this year's edition of the Oktoberfest, BMW has prepared a unique M3 Sedan featuring a Münchner Wirte livery.
The special M3 was created as a way to emphasize BMW's connections with the world of motorsport as well as with the city of Munich and it has been dressed in Münchner Wirte as a throwback to the legendary 1981 M1 Procar . It also has Bavarian-style façade painting, blue & white twisted cords and depictions of several important Munich landmarks, along with the Wiesn-Schänke beer tent at the Oktoberfest and also a roast chestnut seller.
Walter Maurer was the man in charge of elaborating the livery for the classic M1 Procar and now he worked on this one-off M3 Sedan which will be displayed at BMW Welt during this year's Oktoberfest in Munich programmed between September 19 and October 4. Speaking about his recent work, Maurer said that "although the two cars are very different, it was surprisingly straightforward to carry over the design from the two-door BMW M1 racer to the four-door BMW M3 Sedan."
