DS Automobiles has arrived in Frankfurt with a trio of DS 4 models, two of which will be on sale very soon.

The regular DS 4 premium hatch has received a minor nip & tuck with a revised DS Wings grille and those fancy DS LED Vision headlights. To spice things up, the PSA-owned marque is adding two-tone body paints, additional interior cabin customizations and the implementation of CarPlay which means you will be able to hook up your iPhone to the car's infotainment system. There's also a MirrorScreen function duplicating the screen of an Android- or iOS-running smartphone right on the touchscreen display.

Moving on, the DS 4 Crossback is as the name suggests a crossover version of the hatchback that sits 30 mm higher and has a slightly different look with plastic body cladding mounted on the wheel arches. The side mirror caps and the roof-mounted rear spoiler are finished in black whereas the added roof bars come in gray.

These two models share a 130 PS & 230 Nm PureTech engine working with a 6-speed manual gearbox, followed by a beefier 165 PS & 240 Nm THP coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission. DS Automobiles is also offering a stronger 210 PS & 285 Nm but only for the hatchback.

If you prefer diesels, there's a 120 PS & 300 Nm BlueHDi with a 6-speed manual or automatic,  along with a mid-range 150 PS & 370 Nm manual-only BlueHDi and a flagship automatic-only 180 PS & 400 Nm BlueHDi.

As far as the concept is concerned, it's based on the DS 4 Crossback and looks just about the same as the production car, but comes with fine strips of stones on the door mirror housings, wheels, front end and on the roof bars. Inside the cabin it gets natural leather upholstery with a watchstrap design, plaited metal threads and other minor enhancements for what will remain a show car as they don't plan to sell it.
