Ford has shared some additional details regarding the high-performance Focus RS hatch.

We finally have all the juicy details about the Focus RS , for which the Blue oval says is the fastest accelerating RS model to date. The numbers show a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 266 km/h (165 mph).

This is possible thanks to a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo petrol engine that generates 350 PS (257 kW) and 440 Nm 9324 lb-ft) with an overboost function for 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) for up to 15 seconds.

This is the first Focus RS that has been equipped with launch control system and AWD system. The second one uses two electronically-controlled clutch packs that control the front-rear torque distribution.

Ford is already taking orders for the Focus RS with European deliveries scheduled to kick off in early 2016. Prices in Germany start at 39,000 EUR (43,885 USD).
