The new Seat Leon Cross Sport has been fully revealed in leaked official images.
Set to make its global premiere tonight and to be showcased during the 2015 IAA, the vehicle appears to be almost production ready. It’s essentially a hybrid between the sporty Leon Cupra and the rugged Leon X-Perience.
It takes the shape of a two-door coupe with slightly higher suspension and athletic silhouette. There’s nothing special about the front end, as it seems to be identical with the Leon X-Perience, featuring its two small grilles and a pronounced diffuser.
The vehicle comes with a full body cladding and 18-inch two-tone wheels. These are combined with an aluminum diffuser at the back with four tailpipes integrated.
No major changes have been applied to the interior, where we find sports seats with orange-black color configuration, matching the exterior paint.
While nothing is official yet, power is said to be provided by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol unit that generates 300 PS (221 kW) and 380 Nm (281 lb-ft). Mated to a DSG automatic gearbox and a Haldex AWD system, this unit provides a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in 4.9 seconds.
