New details are starting to emerge about the third BMW i model, the BMW i5.

Until now it was believed the i5 would be a 5-Series-sized sedan, but now it appears the vehicle will take the shape of a crossover. It will feature an attractive design while still offering enough space for five passengers.

Scheduled to arrive in 2020, the vehicle will be powered by a hydrogen cell system. No exact figures have been confirmed, but previous rumors suggested the peak power will be around 225 bhp (168 kW).

More information is expected in the coming years, as BMW will likely preview the production model with an all-new concept.
