Now in its second generation, the compact crossover is preparing to receive a mid-cycle refresh which should be launched early next year and is going to bring some modest exterior design revisions. This prototype had the same BMW-esque camouflage hiding the cosmetic tweaks planned by Suzuki, with the most obvious one noticeable in the front grille which seems to make the switch from horizontal to vertical slats.
Expect to see a minor nip & tuck to both front and rear bumpers along with revised graphics for the lighting clusters, but nothing to write home about. It's the same story with the interior cabin which will probably be a little bit refreshed with new trim options, fresh upholsteries and other small updates.
As far as the engines are concerned, chances are Suzuki's engineers have prepared a replacement for the 120 PS & 156 Nm 1.6-liter normally aspirated engine in the form of a turbocharged motor with more power and increased fuel efficiency. As for the more economical 1.6-liter turbodiesel, this will likely be carried over with its 120 PS (88 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) output.
Expect the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross facelift to show up in Geneva next March.
