The next-generation Opel Meriva has been spied undergoing testing in Europe.

Despite being heavily camouflaged, we can see the model will be a radical departure from its predecessor as it features crossover-inspired styling. Details are hard to make out be we can see the MPV will longer and taller than its predecessor and feature a wide grille that is flanked by sweeptback headlights.

Opel hasn't had much to say about the model lately but the company has previously said it will be launched in late 2016 and ride on a platform sourced from PSA Peugeot Citroën.  It will be built and Spain and feature powertrains provided by the French automaker.
