The Ford Fusion / Mondeo ST has been spied undergoing testing in the United States.
Based on the facelifted model, the high-performance variant is distinguished by a trunk-mounted spoiler, a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system and five-spoke alloy wheels that are backed up by a beefier braking system. The front and rear fascias are camouflaged but they will likely receive some sporty styling tweaks including a honeycomb grille.
There's no word on what will power the model but speculation suggests the car could be equipped with either a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder or a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. The four-cylinder produces 345 bhp (257 kW) and 324 lb-ft (440 Nm) of torque in the Focus RS, while the V6 cranks out 325 bhp (242 kW) and 375 lb-ft (507 Nm) of torque in the F-150. Regardless of which engine is used, it will likely be connected to an automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.
