The first live images with Ferrari's 488 Spider have emerged from China.

Revealed online towards the end of July, the open-top version of the 488 GTB has been spotted recently in China and will be heading to Frankfurt next week for its proper premiere. This is likely a pre-production car wearing what appears to be the Bianco Avus paint scheme and thankfully it was photographed both with the retractable hard top up and down which takes only 14 seconds to change its position.

The 488 Spider is Ferrari's most powerful ever mid-engined V8 model to have a hard top thanks to a V8 3.9-liter pushing out a massive 670 PS (493 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque. It's enough muscle to enable the prancing horse hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 3 seconds and 124 mph (200 km/h) in 8.7 seconds before reaching a maximum speed in excess of 203 mph (325 km/h).

Following its official public debut next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Ferrari 488 Spider will go on sale in the following months.
