Dacia has disclosed its plans for the upcoming 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show that opens its doors for the press on September 15.

First and most important, the Romanian company will reveal the Easy-R automated manual gearbox that will be offered for the Logan, Logan MCV, Sandero and Sandero Stepway before the end of the year. It will be fitted to the TCe90 petrol engine with 90 PS (66 kW) and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft), providing an average fuel consumption of 4.9 liters per 100 km.

The automated transmission works with computer-controlled electromechanical actuators that perform a surrogate role for the driver, declutching, changing gear and then re-engaging the clutch. It has two modes: Drive and Manual, providing different regimes of gear-changing.

Dacia also says all its engines will now meet the Euro 6 requirements. All they will henceforth benefit from a start-stop system with braking energy recovery.

Also on display in Frankfurt will be the new Duster Edition 2016, which gains black diamond-effect 16-inch alloy wheels and a new Altai Green exterior paint. Inside, two new trim options are available, while entry-level models in the range will be offered with Silicon black upholstery. Higher-specification cars come with Féderer grey on black.
