Bentley is back with possibly (and hopefully) one final teaser video of their Bentayga, this time showing a pre-production prototype reaching 301 km/h (187 mph).

We have already seen Bentley's first ever SUV courtesy of an official scale model, but that hasn't stopped the Crewe-based luxury marque from releasing yet another teaser which shows the model achieving 301 km/h at an unknown high-speed testing facility. That particular car had the new W12 6.0-liter TSI engine which will enable the Bentayga to be "the fastest, most powerful SUV in the world."

This new engine was introduced several months ago at the Vienna Motor Symposium in Austria and it adopts twin turbocharging which has boosted output to 608 PS (447 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque. It serves as a replacement for the old 6.3-liter W12 and in the years to come it will be launched with even more power.

Getting back to the Bentayga at hand, the camouflaged prototype is far from being a looker, but the aforementioned scale model has shown a surprisingly attractive design and hopefully that was the real deal which will be showcased at IAA later this month in Frankfurt. The Audi Q7-based Bentley SUV is programmed to go on sale next year and will receive a plug-in hybrid version sometime in 2017.
