The German tuners at DTE-Systems have infused more power into a BMW M235i Convertible.

BMW is just about ready to take the wraps off the fully-fledged M2, but those who already own the next best thing - the M235i - can get closer to the M2's performance by implementing a power package courtesy of DTE-Systems. The engineers focused on the convertible's six-cylinder, 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine and worked their software magic to squeeze an additional 40 PS (29 kW) and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) for a grand total of 366 PS (269 kW) and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft).

This plug & play power boost is available for €699 and for an extra €199 you can get the optional PedalBox which quickens the response time of the electric throttle. Moreover, there's a keypad which enables the owner to select from one of the three available and customizable driving modes.

Performance numbers have not been disclosed, but it's safe to say the M235i Convertible by DTE-Systems is quicker than the stock car which needs 5.2 seconds for the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run when equipped with the six-speed manual and 5 seconds with the optional eight-speed automatic transmission.
