The upcoming Jaguar F-Pace is rumored to spawn a whole family of crossovers for the British marque.
Company’s insiders have commented to Autocar that not a single new SUV model is planned but a full range of vehicles. “Don’t think in terms of one more SUV - think a family of SUVs.”
The lineup will include a competitor for the upcoming Audi Q1, set to go on sale in the second half of next year. This one will be little more than four meters in its length, but no further details are available at the moment.
Next will be the F-Pace itself, which will spawn a coupe version to rival the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. The sportier SUV will feature sweeping lines and four doors and will likely even receive flagship R and SVR versions. Currently there are no plans for a bigger 7-seat SUV.
In other related news, it seems Jaguar is also working on an all-electric model as the company has trademarked the EV-Type moniker.
