Looking instantly recognizable, the redesigned hatchback has an evolutionary front fascia with a larger grille that houses a prominent Renault badge.  The car has also slender headlights and a sportier air intake.

Moving further back, we can see a long hood, a rakish windscreen and a gently sloping roof.  The hatchback also has a tailgate-mounted spoiler and wraparound taillights.

Renault has been tight-lipped about specifications but the redesigned Megane will ride on the CMF platform and weight significantly less than its predecessor.  This should enable the model to be more fuel efficient despite the fact that it is slated to use assortment of familiar petrol and diesel engines.
