Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen has revealed some new details about the company's upcoming four- and six-cylinder diesel engines.

Speaking to Automotive News, de Nysschen confirmed the engines are expected to be introduced in Europe in 2019.  The executive was coy on specifics but stated the company will "definitely bring" them to the United States.

There's no word on which models will receive the diesel engines but wouldn't be hard to emerge diesel-powered versions of the ATS, CTS and the upcoming XT5. Cadillac Escalade product manager David Schiavone has also hinted at the possibility of using a turbodiesel V6 engine in the company's flagship SUV.
