The BMW news continues as the German automaker has taken the wraps off the 3.0 CSL Hommage R concept.

Set to debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the model is essentially a racing version of the 3.0 CSL Hommage which debuted at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este earlier this year.  As a result, the car has a familiar design but adopts a Brilliant White exterior with a revised grille, BMW M racing stripes and 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels with matte gold and black accents.

The interior is a little more unique as it features carbon fiber seats with white leather upholstery and six-point safety harnesses.  The model also has a carbon fiber roll cage, an eBoost charging indicator and wood trim which has illuminated sections to show the track layout and the track's braking points.  Other racing inspired touches include a fire extinguishing system, an emergency shut-off switch and a steering column mounted display which provides the driver with "secondary information such as lap times, overall race time and the car’s current track position."

BMW didn't stop there as they also created a unique helmet with a visor that acts as a heads-up display.  It shows information such as the car’s speed, engine revs and which gear engaged.

BMW also designed a unique racing suit which has illuminated piping that lights up to show the "progress of information – from the shift impulse display, for example – out of the steering column over the driver’s arms and into his visor."
