American Honda Motor Executive Vice President John Mendel has confirmed the company is considering offering the S660 in the United States.

Speaking to Edmunds, Mendel said the company wants "some spice in the lineup" so they're "looking at it intently for North America."  Despite his apparent optimism, he conceded there are still several hurdles as model has to be commercially viable and needs to "serve a purpose from a brand standpoint."

There's no word on when a decision will be made but previous reports have suggested the U.S. variant could be powered by a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that develops more than 127 bhp (95 kW).
