Lincoln has announced the 30-way adjustable seats on the Continental concept preview a "new era" of comfort and luxury.

Drawing inspiration from seats used in private jets, the 30-way adjustable seats have a patented "flexible comfort carrier" which is essentially a suspension system which uses plastic and foam.  Lincoln says this helps the seats flex around the body which, in turn, takes stress off the shoulders and neck.

Besides providing a plethora of adjustments, the seats have the usual heating / cooling features as well as a massage function that promises to help reduce muscle fatigue on long trips.

While the automaker declined to confirm whether or not we'll see 30-way adjustable seats on the production model, Lincoln's Johnathan Line said “The next frontier to serve the luxury automotive client is a seat that conforms to and supports the body – a seat that feels as if it were personally tailored for you each time."  His sentiments were echoed by senior technical leader Dan Ferretti who hinted "The Lincoln Continental Concept previews the next era for Lincoln, including luxury automotive seating."
