Chevrolet is expanding the 2016 Colorado lineup by adding Midnight Edition and Z71 Trail Boss versions.

After launching the Silverado Midnight Edition , Chevrolet has now applied the same treatment on the Colorado which can be visually distinguished by its dark theme as the grille, bowtie emblem and 18-inch alloys now come in black. It also features a spray-on bedliner and soft, tonneau cover also in black while the sill plates have the Chevrolet logo.

It can be ordered on the LT model with extended and crew bodies in both 2WD and 4WD versions with the 2.5L and 3.6L engines as well as the recently introduced 181 bhp & 369 lb-ft turbodiesel 2.8-liter Duramax unit.

As for the Colorado Z71 Trail Boss, it gets an all-new sport bar hosting LED lighting and rides on 17-inch black alloy wheels wrapped around in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTec 265/65R17 all-terrain tires. Other enhancements include tubular assist steps, bold fender flares, black bowtie grille emblem, spray-on bedliner and all-weather floor mats.

It can be ordered on the Z71 model in extended and crew bodies with either 2WD or 4WD along with the same array of engines as the Colorado Midnight Edition.

Both of them are scheduled to go on sale this fall, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.
