Following yesterday's announcement of the acquisition of WCF by Motorsport.com, we are happy to announce the soft launch of Motor1.com. (Please excuse any bugs or errors you might encounter as we are still working to perfect Motor1 during this beta period.)
As we transition WCF to the new Motor1 global platform (consisting of 14 countries in 10 native languages) you can expect the same flavor of fast breaking news stories, photos and videos. However, there will be lots more. The editorial muscle of Motorsport.com will allow us to enhance the diversity of content by adding regular test drives, special press event/motorshow coverage and original video productions while improving overall editorial quality. Additional editorial synergies will be absorbed from the aforementioned 14 country offices as well as greater flow of motorsport content that appeals to car enthusiasts.
From its humble inception as GermanCarFans.com back in 2000, this next step realizes the potential that had been envisioned from the start. It has been a long challenging journey but we are here now and focus on the task at hand which is making sure Motor1 continues the legacy that WCF so firmly planted. WCF will keep its doors open for an undetermined period as we slowly transition to the new Motor1.
