A new report is indicating the next generation of the Volkswagen Golf GTI will be introduced in 2019.
AutoBild says the German brand is preparing a facelift for the current Golf VII that will be revealed in 2016 and two years later the all-new Golf VIII will be ready. Then, in 2019, Volkswagen will launch the hot GTI version of the hatchback that will be offered in three power stages.
First comes the GTI Classic that will come with 265 PS (195 kW). Next is the GTI Performance with 300 PS (220 kW) and the range topping GTI Club Sport that boosts 326 PS (240 kW). There could be even a more hardcore model, featuring an all-wheel drive and up to 400 PS (294 kW).
