A slightly more revealing spy video with a Mercedes-Benz SLC prototype has emerged onto the Internet.

Unsurprisingly, the facelifted SLK (set to be called SLC) will receive roughly the same headlight design as other recent models with the three-pointed star logo. As a consequence, the LED daytime running lights will be moved from the front bumper and built into the headlight cluster for a cleaner look, but we are sure many would want more styling differences between the models.

There's not much else to talk about in terms of changes, but we should expect to find slightly updated bumpers along with fresh graphics for the taillights. The usual mid-cycle updates like new paints, wheel designs and interior tweaks are also on the agenda, but nothing to write home about.

More important will be the addition of a SLC 450 AMG Sport version set to employ a more aggressive body matched with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 producing 367 PS (270 kW) and 517 Nm (382 lb-ft) of torque sent to a bigger set of alloys through an updated 7-speed automatic transmission.

According to sources close to Mercedes-Benz, the SLC will be available on order in December and deliveries are programmed to kick off March 2016. We will likely see it in mid-September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, unless the Daimler-owned marque will decide to reveal the facelifted roadster before that.
