Ford has taken the wraps off the 2016 F-150 Limited billed as the company's "most advanced and luxurious truck ever."

The F-150 is by definition a proper workhorse, but that doesn't mean it can't also be posh and Ford is trying to demonstrate that by reinstating the Limited version. It comes with numerous enhancements on the outside such as the exclusive 19-inch polished alloy wheels and the "LIMITED" lettering on the hood while the front grille has a unique look. There's also a satin chrome badge on the tailgate and a chromed front bumper with body-colored end caps whereas the rear bumper is color-coordinated with the rest of the body.

Ford also applied a satin chrome finish on the door handles, along with bright belt moldings and a chrome exhaust tip while the body can be painted in one of the following hues: Blue Jeans, Magnetic, Shadow Black and White Platinum Metallic.

Stepping inside the cabin, it gets a number of extra goodies like the special floor mats, laser-engraved VIN plate on the center console lid, a different instrument cluster face, aluminum accents and new scuff plates with ice blue backlighting. It also benefits from a 10-speaker Sony sound system, SYNC 3 infotainment system (with AppLink) and a plethora of standard equipment including a panoramic vista roof, quad-beam LED headlights, power-deployable running boards, remote start and tailgate release, along with an integrated trailer brake controller and heated & cooled front seats covered in black Mojave leather featuring massaging function and 10-way adjustability.

Power comes exclusively from an EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6 engine with 365 bhp and 420 lb-ft of torque, enough to grant a maximum towing capacity of 10,100 lbs. The engine is teamed up with a 6-speed automatic transmission and enables the vehicle to return an EPA-estimated 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined.

Ford says the 2016 F-150 Limited is programmed to go on sale this winter, with pricing to be released closer to the model’s launch.
