Fiat designer Roberto Giolito has revealed some new details about the upcoming Fiat 124 Spider.

Speaking to Top Gear, Giolito said the model will look "very masculine" and not "delicate."  That's pretty vague but the designer said we won't have to wait much longer to see the car as he hinted it could be introduced at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show or even earlier.

Fiat has been relatively tight-lipped about the roadster but it will be based on the Mazda MX-5 and feature unique styling inside and out.  Engine options remain unconfirmed but the entry-level model is expected to use a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces at least 140 PS (103 kW).  There could also be a high-performance variant that produces anywhere from 200 PS (147 kW) to 240 PS (176 kW).
