The BMW X6 M has reportedly lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife and recorded an 8:20 minutes time.
BimmerToday reports that AutoZeitung recently took the sporty SUV for a few laps around the Green Hell and their best run took 8:20 minutes. The heavy machine uses a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine with 567 bhp (423 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, which accelerates it from a standstill to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.2 seconds and provides a top speed of 250 km/h (155 km/h).
Despite still unofficial, this information is quite interesting given the fact that last year BMW M project manager Herbert Bayerl revealed the vehicle is as fast as the M3 Coupe (E92). Translating this into numbers, the M3 E92 recorded 8:05 minutes and actually the X6 M is close to the performance of the M3 (E46), which lapped the Nurburgring in 8:22 minutes.
