BMW recently introduced the facelifted 3-Series so it comes as little surprise that Alpina is working on an updated version of their D3 Bi-Turbo.

Caught near the Nürburgring, the 2016 Alpina D3 follows in the footsteps of the standard model but adopts a front spoiler, a new rear skirt and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. The car also has a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes and the company's iconic multi-spoke wheels.

Power will likely be provided by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine that produces 350 bhp (257 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.  It should enable the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, while the all-wheel drive wagon should accomplish the same task in 4.5 seconds.
