We have received a comprehensive batch of spy shots with the all-new Volkswagen Tiguan compact crossover.

It was carrying the production body which sends a mini Touareg vibe and this time our spy photographers managed to catch a better glimpse at the wide headlights which seem to have a slim strip of LED DRLs up top while down below is a slightly thicker strip for the turn signal. As for the taillights, these are typical VW clusters sporting LED technology and likely with a more angular shape compared to the outgoing Tiguan.

The "totally redesigned" and "phenomenal" new Tiguan as stated by company officials is expected to be 5.5 cm (2.2 inches) longer and VW has already confirmed a three-row seven-seat version due late next year and set to be produced in Mexico. However, the stretched Tiguan will be sold in North & South America and other regions of the world, but not in Europe and China.

Expect an official reveal of the standard Volkswagen Tiguan in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
