The long-awaited BMW M2 has been spied once again prior to expected debut later this year.
We’ve seen the sporty two-door coupe testing several times but now we can take a closer look at some of the details. The attached photos were taken near the Nurburgring and show a Long Beach Blue paint peeking through from underneath the camouflage on the lower front bumper in one of the photos. A closer inspection at the kidney grille reveals the M2 will wear a double slat grille. Also notable is the taped up M2 badge on the driver side grille.
Latest rumors indicate the M2 will be powered by 3.0-liter turbo petrol unit with 380 PS (279 kW), mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This setup will provide a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in around 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The smallest M model in BMW’s range will likely enter production in November this year with sales starting early 2016.
